New Release Sneaky Peek - To Rome with Lust by K D Grace @kd_grace

Out Now - To Rome with Lust (Mount trilogy #3) by K D Grace

The adventure that Rita Holly began in The Mount in London and Nick Chase took up in Vegas continues when a sizzling encounter on a flight to Rome has journalist, Liza Calendar, and perfumer, Paulo ‘The Nose’ Delacour, in sexy olfactory heaven. The heir apparent of Martelli Fragrance, Paulo wants Liza’s magnificently sensitive nose to help develop Martelli’s controversial new line. Paulo has a secret weapon; Martelli Fragrance is the front for the original Mount, an ancient sex cult of which he is a part, and Paulo plans to use the scent of sex to enhance Martelli’s Innuendo line. As Liza and Paulo sniff out the scent of seduction, they become their own best lab rats. But when someone steals the perfume formulas and lays the blame at Liza’s feet, she and Paulo must sniff out the culprit and prove Liza’s innocence before more is exposed than just secret formulas.

‘People are looking. We should stop.’ Liza barely got the words out before he leaned in just a tiny bit further and, in his enthusiasm, his lips brushed hers. Everything spiked in a sharp stab of scent that settled right between her legs, as they both gasped and sat back, eyes wide, fingers pressed to lips. A flight to Paris was called over the intercom immediately after one to Frankfurt and, in the jostling and shifting and gathering of belongings, no one was paying any attention to them. Though she wasn’t sure it would have made any difference even if they’d suddenly been center stage. Their gaze locked on each other, cheeks flushed, chests heaving, they sat locked in a moment so tight, so full that its breaking apart was inevitable. It was ridiculous. She was seconds away from coming, and his cock was about to burst his trousers and his lips, my god his lips, she could think of so many places on her body she wanted those lips.
‘I have to know,’ he gasped. ‘Surely you want to know too.’ Then he did the unthinkable. He curled his fingers into the back of her hair and pulled her to him. This time their lips met with a clash of teeth and a gasping swallow of oxygen that transitioned into parted lips and darting tongues and an absolute explosion of scent. If he had smelled amazing by himself, if his scent had sharpened hers to the cutting edge of orgasm, then the mixing and blending that happened when they touched, when those two scents came together was shattering. ‘I’ve never smelled anything like it,’ she breathed into his mouth.
‘Me neither,’ He bit her lower lip and tugged and their blended smell became darker, more spicy, tones of earth and sea, pepper and honey and my god the guy could kiss!
She came first with a guttural grunt that began deep in her center and washed over her like a riptide. She tried desperately to hide it, but he knew it. He felt it, she even thought he smelled it, and he tightened his fist in her hair, breathing her into his open mouth. Both his hands then slid to her shoulders in a grip that was almost painful as he pulled back, his gaze locked on hers, and his whole body convulsed, and again, and again, his deep mocha gaze holding her tight as pupils dilated and eyelids shuddered.
For a moment they sat stunned, staring at each other, struggling to catch their breath. He looked shell-shocked, and she must have looked at least as bad. ‘I’m sorry,’ they both said at the same time as they mirrored each other in a nervous laugh.
Then the intercom called the flight to Rome. ‘That’s my flight,’ she gasped, suddenly awash in a wave of embarrassment. She grabbed her bag and her laptop and fled, feeling certain everyone was watching, feeling certain everyone knew exactly what they had done. She left quickly, babbling on about duty free and gifts, sounding like a total idiot. It didn’t matter though, at the end of the day, she’d never see the man again. And she’d never smell him again. That saddened her.

Author Bio:
Lea lives in Western New York with her hubby, three children, and miscellaneous critters. Before the rug rats, she lived a life of adventure, following her husband all over Europe with the US military. She's slept in a car outside Paris, drove six hours just to see tulips in the Netherlands, and knocked ash from her shoes at Pompeii. Now she spends her time in life's adventures at soccer games, PTA meetings and school plays.

Lea has loved reading from a very young age, spending many sleepless nights devouring books. Science fiction and paranormal were her favorite genres to read as a teenager, and that love bled into her adult life. She started writing during a bout of insomnia, to fill time, and found it filled a creative void. Now she communes regularly with the characters in her head and tries not to laugh out loud when they say something funny.

When Lea isn't reading, writing or corralling kids, she enjoys watching movies and sciencey shows, or just kicking back and listening to some music.

First kiss:
“You… you shot me.”
“I did.”
He was already listing to one side and she rushed forward to help me sit against a tree. “Because you needed to calm down. I need to look at this wolf and I can’t do that if you’ve got him all pissed off.”
His eyes drooped. She leaned down and kissed the lines of confusion between his brows. “I know. That’s why I gave him a little more than you. He’ll be sleeping like a cub in about two minutes.”
“Sorry about being mad. She called me that before she left.” Connor mumbled.
The slurred words had her ears perking up like a fox’s after hearing the squeak of a mouse. She. Margie squashed the questions bubbling up. Instead she turned, gathered her gear and slowly approached the downed wolf. In the back of her mind Connor’s words swirled. Someone had hurt him. Some female. A growl of her own laced with jealousy and anger vibrated in her chest.

Excerpt #1:
His gaze swung back immediately and she could see the resolve gleaming from the dark depths of his eyes. “Sorry, Margie. I don’t mean to worry you. I came by for two reasons. First I was going to check on Zeke, but as you’ve said he’s gone. I also wanted to know if you’d accompany me to Cammie and Ian’s mating ceremony on Saturday.”
Her mind froze. Mating ceremony. Go with him? Together? “Um.”
“You don’t have to, but I thought seeing I’d be driving by your house and you don’t know the way to the farm I could pick you up.”
The small flutter of hope died a tragic, fiery death in her chest. “Right. You’re going to be driving by anyway, and me, being a woman and all, might have a tough time following directions. I see.”
Something that sounded close to ‘stupid moron’ fell from his lips, too quiet for Margie to hear. It didn’t matter. She’s taken as much shit from the man she’d craved for over two years as she could take.
“Connor Manning. You will leave my property right now or you’ll be held responsible for my actions. I’ve had enough of your redneck, condescending, male-chauvinistic bullshit to last me a lifetime. I have a fucking GPS in my car and know damn well where the farm is. I’ve been treating you people ever since I moved here. Hell, Skip has a tab account now because I spend so much time out there. And anyway, Zeke already asked me if I wanted to go with him. You don’t need to take care of lil’ ol’ me.”

Excerpt #2:
A large circle had been created on the wooden floor with small grey stones. In the center candles flickered and cast soft light which illuminated a roughly drawn chalk wolf head. Soft music played along the edges of her hearing.
“This is beautiful.” She whispered, afraid to break the tranquility of the scene. She felt like she’d stepped into a druid ceremony.
Connor wrapped an arm around her waist and pulled her toward one of the tables. When she could concentrate on something other than the decorations she noticed they were some of the last people to sit. Each table had four seats with champagne bubbling in tall glasses. Almost everyone from town was in attendance, but that made sense with the number of folks in Coyote Bluff being of the shifter persuasion.
Margie opened her mouth to ask Connor something but he pressed a finger to her lips and lightly shook his head. He pulled out a chair next to Zeke and ushered her into it. He quickly slid into the last open chair at their table. He leaned into her shoulder and pressed his lips to her ear. “Just watch. I’ll answer questions afterward if you have any.”

Excerpt #3:
Margie couldn’t help the giggle which escaped her lips as she rounded the corner of the doorjamb. To have Connor whistle at her like that, and so loudly, as well as leave his scent all over her was too much to hope for. Her heart soared. He really was claiming her, and wasn’t being quiet about it.
“Damn, girl. You stink.” Ian’s voice carried from deeper in the barn and the sound of something solid hitting him let her know Cammie was there.
“Shut up. You can’t tell her she stinks. God, you’ll give her a complex.” Cammie’s words were punctuated with smacks to Ian’s arm.
“Fine. Ow. Stop hitting me, woman, or I’ll turn you over my knee.” He growled a little at his wife and she blushed. Well.
Margie laughed. “Look at you two. Married and already bickering.”
Cammie raced over and clamped tight arms around Margie’s waist. Her friend whispered, “I’m so glad he’s finally come around and accepted the truth.”
“Yes, he has and I’m so glad everyone needs to keep reminding her about my issues.”
Connor’s growl had everyone spinning, and most of the people standing around looking off, scuffing their shoes in the dirt of clearing their throats. Margie wanted to laugh, but then again, what was the fun in allowing him to get away with being gruff with all of his friends. Even she could sense the unease.

Excerpt #4:
With a twist of her hips, and a satisfied smile, she flipped Connor to his back. Climbing on top of him and settling her already wet pussy on his cock gave her the chills. His shaft was hot against her wet folds. Each wiggle of her body rubbed the mushroom head against her clit. “Mmm. This is better.”His eyes had closed for a moment but when she spoke they opened again. Half-lidded and lust-filled was a perfect look on her sheriff. She gave her hips a circle and ground down on his pelvis. A growl had her grinning. With light tickling fingertips she tiptoed up his stomach, loving how his muscles bunched and fluttered under her touch, she worked her way up to his chest. While she tortured him she continued rocking against his cock, rubbing his hot shaft through her folds and the head of his dick against her clit. She wanted to come with him deep inside her, but it felt so good to have his silky hot penis nestled within her pussy.
“What are you doing?”
She smiled. “What does it feel like? I’m rubbing on you, and in a few minutes I’m going to ride you.”

Siren Authors Holiday Hop

I'm so glad to be part of this Holiday Hop and sharing the stage with some excellent authors, both new and well established with Siren Publishing. I've been published with Siren since 2011 and the giveaway I have as part of this blog is a copy of my first book, Finding Angel. There are another two books in the Wylde Shore series, but I thought it best to giveaway a copy of book one, just to whet the winners appetite for the other two...hopefully.
                                                                                                            Prizes and participating Authors
When I received my first edits for Finding Angel I quickly found out that authors often overuse words and one of my overused words was and. I spent days reworking sentences to try and get rid of any that were unnecessary and was it a task? You bet. I hated the word by the end of edits. I try not to use it excessively anymore and I think that's been reflected in the subsequent books. But why am I telling you this? It's simple really. In order to enter the major prize draw you need to visit each participating authors blog (the list can be found by clicking the words prizes and participating authors above the sexy holiday hop image) and put together a secret code. In order to achieve this each author was give a code word to include in their blog post.

Imagine my surprise when the code words were handed out. Some authors have wonderfully expressive words (I won't tell you any of them because that would be cheating) but I got the word I hate.  I actually laughed out loud when I read it. Have you guessed what it is yet. I bet you have but for those still wondering scroll down for the answer.

As I mentioned earlier I'm giving away a copy of Finding Angel as part of the hop. Just leave a comment on this post, maybe tell me a word that you have bad memories of, and I'll use to pick a winner the day after the Hop concludes. Good luck and don't forget to enter the major prize draw.

For those that haven't already guessed, my secret code word for the competition is word number 17... AND

So enter now, you'll find the entry form by clicking here and then all you have to do is visit each blog and complete the answer. Good luck everyone.

In case you hadn't noticed, I've been away.

There's a saying that absence makes the heart grow fonder. I'm not sure if that's true, but it is a nice segue into explaining where I've been.

I've made some huge changes in my life. Once again I've left the city for a country lifestyle, but it's one with a twist. My soul sister and her hubby have leased a country pub and they've invited me along for the ride.  It's been a very busy transition from city life to country. We hit the ground running with a party on the Saturday night after we arrived. The place was packed and it served as a huge learning curve for us all. Exhausted has been a word commonly thrown around since then. Unfortunately, along with being tired as I get accustomed to the workload, there hasn't been any time for me to write. I hope to rectify that very soon as we all seem to be falling into a regular routine of daily duties. I plan on adding writing to mine.

So where am I living? Well the town is called Mendooran. It's a small town adjacent to the Castlereagh River in the Warrumbungle Shire of central western New South WalesAustralia. The town is approximately 348 kilometres west of Sydney, so I'm a long way from city life and has a population of just over 300, so when I say a small country town I mean All of the locals have been really friendly and trying to remember  their names is a huge task, especially when in true Aussie fashion, they have a real name and a nickname. I have to say, I'm totally confused most of the time but slowly making headway remembering them.

I was a little amused to find that the pub is pink. In Australia the local pub is like a huge man cave located on the main street of each town. Some towns boast more than one pub but not Mendooran, we're the pink pub on the corner, the only drinking/watering hole in town. It's not very masculine at all but the fellas don't seem to mind. We have cold beer and good food so that's all that really matters.

The pub was also part of an artists attempt to turn Mendooran into The Mural Town of the central west. Quite a few of the buildings left in town, and there aren't many, have murals depicting country life painted on them.

This is one of the painting on the outside of the pub.

Some of my author friends have asked if the place is giving me inspiration for new books, characters or series. I guess time will tell what sort of influence the place has on me but let me just say this, I did have a few ideas for books when I went to the yearly rodeo festival. I was very inspired by the bucking broncos and the chap wearing lovelies that rode them.
